For the first 6 months we would only spend 2-3 days a week at the house, We didn't even have curtains at that time. Also, we would be away for 2-4 weeks break and during that time things wouldn't get cleaned as no-one was there to clean.
This was fortunate, as it exposed serious problems with sealing out the wind, drafts and rain. The house was supposed to be proofed against such events.

The photos below. clearly show the wind / draft paterns caused by the lack of proper, decent seals, including those at the main front door. (The air flow can be clearly seen.).



Is this work considered to be Industry Standard?


Leak clearly seen with dust and a wet mark where water had got in.

Paint flaked off. (2-3yr)   
Stain from the ceiling to the window frame.   >>
Not sealed properly.
