**** Power point vanity area (splash tiles) ****
This power point is effectively useless. Not only are you unable to put your devices power chargers into the socket, (it is too close to the top of the wash basin for them to fit), but it is a safety hazard as it is dangerously close to the wash basin water and splash area. Thus I have had to place covers over the sockets as a precaution against an electric shock.
The power point should have been fitted ABOVE the splash tiles, not on them!
What on earth was the contractor thinking!

Other issues unresolved from the Kookaburra Homes build.
From week 1, every mixer tap leaked and filtered down to the cupboards below causing water damage.
Annoyingly, 9 out of 13 doors in the home squeak when they are opened. Disconcerting! (possibly not hung correctly)
Is this work considered to be Industry Standard?

Even with carpet, you can fit your fingers under the doors.

Plenty of room for fingers under the doors, and for drafts too.
|
Light coming through the significant gap under the door, makes it difficult to darken the room.
These excessive gaps under the doors, (even with carpet), creates un-necessary drafts in the rooms. .

**** Outside hole for the phone cable ****
A hole was punched through to enable the telephone cable to pass from the inside to the exterior of the house.
However, the hole was never sealed in some manner in order to prevent insects from entering inside to the wall cavities, where they could infest and establish nests etc..
Is this work considered to be of a professional and Industry Standard?

Due to poor seals around doors and windows, and ineffective mountings and associated seals, there are a number of noises and vibrations produced by the wind passing through and around these objects.
These noises make for a poor sleeping environment at night.
wind vibe/noise - vibrating down pipe.
Wind whistling around Main power box.
Wind whistling around Front door.
Wind vibration (Master Bedroom).
Flooding from door seal ineffective.
Squeaky doors.

Eave - batten missing leaving gap, allowing insects to enter and infest the roof area.

Exhaust fan tube not properly fixed in place & sealed, allowing insects to enter and infest the roof area.
