Within 2 weeks of the house handover, I notice there was already paint blistering on the vertical support. ( 26 May 2017).

Signs of cracking and peeling of paint was showing within 2 years and around the end of 2019, I had tried to get the matter attended to by Kookaburra Homes but ended up with no response. Again, in May 2022, 5 years after handover (the end of the waranty period I called into the offices on Payneham Road, and spoke to a representative there. He took my letter of requests and with some of his notes sent them through to the person responsible to look into the situation. Nothing happened, no phone call, no email nor correspondence of any kind. I was just ignored. Now, I understand that around March/April 2020 COVID19 began impacting on getting work done, but this does NOT excuse the lack of communication on behalf of Kookaburra Homes. At the easing of COVID19 restraints in 2022, I tried again as I described previously without any response. The Main Entrance Front door is also showing signs like this as well. The contract stated that the painting was a 3 coat process, 2 x paint and 1x sealer. I find this very difficult to believe.  Is this work considered to be Industry Standard? |
