A subsequent meeting with the Kookaburra Homes management and some resolution to a couple of minor issues, an assurance that only premium products were used and that the rust and paint issues were due to the prevailing weather conditions in the area and effectively were considered natural wear and tear as a plausible explanation.

Yet the damage shown, both rust and door paint cracking was on the lee (protected) side of the post, whilst the front side which endured the full force of the weather showed no such damage.
As for the rust on the house gutter protector, the shed roof gutter protector shows no rust to this day, and both had been errected around the same time and have under gone the exact same conditions. Clearly, a superior product was used on the shed.
Note :: The shed contractor managed to get the correct colouring consistant between the roof sheeting, the mesh and the gutters as was requested in both instances (house & shed matching colour scheme).
